I'm making this review because no one else should miss out. I visited Nagoya for lunch and was not disappointed with my experience. It was not busy and the restaurant is very clean (as expected) and has a calming ambiance to it. Both our server and chef were very friendly. I wish I could recall their names to give them both the proper shoutout! A friendly and social chef cooking in front of you definitely elevates the experience of eating hibachi. Although I went for lunch, you can see the from the pictures that the portions were very fair. The bill is still pricey but it's worth the quality of the food and experience in my opinion. This is honestly the first hibachi restaurant that I've been to that measures up quite well against Benihana. I certainly think Nagoya's soup is far more flavorful than what Benihana offers. Salad and dressing was standard. The fried calamari was yummy and crisp. It even changed a few people's minds positively on their taste for calamari. Their spicy aioli sauce is actually spicy (which was surprising for me because it's usually not at other restaurants). No complaints on the fried rice and their sauces (ginger and yum yum) satisfied my taste buds. Drinks were good, also pretty standard. Nonetheless, I don't plan on waiting another year before going back! Thank you, Nagoya! ”
